May here is spring turned up to 11: red poppy carpets, sea breezes, bookish fêtes, and that very French sport of chaining holidays into mini-vacations (“faire le pont”). Aix-en-Provence in May

  • Printemps de l’Art Contemporain (PAC). City-wide exhibitions, performances, art walks—often with free shuttles and openings. In 2025 it ran 2–18 May. (PAC)
